Governor Abbott Links Borders to Fentanyl, Mexican Cartels and Texas Gangs

In his recent news conference in Beaumont, Governor Abbott explained the root to the fentanyl crisis. "Biden's Open Border policies. When you have that many people coming across the border with help from Mexican Cartels --- it make is far easier for fentanyl to be crossing our border!" He describes actions he has already taken. "I issued an Executive Order designating Cartels as Terroristic Organizations, and requested the Texas Department of Public Safety to take immediate action."

The Governor also listed laws he will be seeking in the next legislative session including a murder charge for criminals who knowingly give fentanyl-laced drugs to people who die. Abbott saying destroying Mexican cartels and their Texas gang partners is already in the works. "DPS is working with their local and federal partners to identify Texas gangs, to seize any assets of the Mexican Drug Cartels, and disrupt Cartel networks. The Governor says he will seek in the next Legislative Session budget priorities along with other initiatives that will support Texas’ ability to combat fentanyl deaths across the state.
