Airlines have staffing problems, but still refuse to cut the number of sellable flights down to a manageable size...according to aviation expert Jay Ratliff. "airlines push forward a schedule that was far too aggressive, KNOWING that a certain percentage of passengers will be inconvenienced. But - the bottom line [for airlines] is NOT customer service. It never has been!" Flight delays are not easing up. Ratliff says the airlines are only attempting to help. "We're rolling into the fall, and they have made some adjustments - not nearly enough - which means we will continue to see a good number of these flights canceled!"
What's the Real Reason for Flight Delays?!?
He says there are other staffing problems as well. "The Number 1 reason for our recent delays and through the summer now is the shortage of air traffic control system. The FAA is to blame! We're rolling into the fall, and they have made some adjustments - not nearly enough - which means we will continue to see a good number of these flights canceled!"
He says airlines continue to not put the passenger first. "It's really unfortunate - but not surprising - that customer service comes so far down the list whe it comes to airlines to make a profit!"
So prepare for a longer wait and be happily surprised if your flight is on time! "It won't be better for the holidays!"
--- Ratliff's best suggestion for you is to always book the earliest flight in the day ---
