Remember back to the 2021 freeze when we increased our need for electricity during a freezing winter storm? What happened? So many people were left without ANY power for days.
Most experts are saying they don't see blackouts in our near future. Being prepared anyway isn't all bad. Use fans in occupied rooms of the house. Use heat-producing appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc) in cooler hours. Turn your thermostat on your air conditioning up a few degrees.
