La Porte Police and Animal Control called in alligator wrangler Tim Deramus for backup Monday when a giant gator was spotted near Pecan Park on Canada Road.
Deramus has faced down nearly 2,000 gators over the years and says he’s only been bitten once.
This one, which Demarus captured and released elsewhere, was dubbed Pennywise by Animal Control. It was more than 11 feet long.
