Three vacationing nurses from New York City sprang to action Sunday night to save a DJ who was shot at an Alief hookah lounge.
According to Houston Police, someone fired off several shots around 3:30 a.m. inside the packed Big J Bar and Hookah in the 12600 block of Bissonnet. The DJ was hit once in the stomach, although it wasn't immediately clear if the DJ was the intended target.
Three unidentified nurses kept the DJ stable until paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital. The man is expected to survive.
At last report, no one was in custody.
