A woman riding in the back seat of a car on the North Freeway was shot Tuesday in what police are calling a road rage incident.
The woman, who is expected to survive, was hit in the arm when a bullet went through the northbound car's door shortly after 8 p.m.
Responding officers found the vehicle stopped in the 13600 block of the North Freeway near Beltway 8 and Greenspoint Mall.
Police believe the shooting was sparked by one vehicle cutting the other off as they traveled down the freeway. Several shots were fired.
Investigators don't have a description of the second car but are seeking surveillance video.
The Houston area has experienced a rash of road rage shootings in recent months.
