One billion people play online video games worldwide. It’s expected to grow to 1.3 billion by 2025.
In 2021 the online gaming community generated $21.1 billion in revenue.
43% of online gamers say they met a good friend playing games. It’s where people go to meet today.
Solitaired conducted a poll of gamers – over a thousand – to find out their favorites:

Houston has its own special place for gamers. The University of Houston Downtown. They’ve taken esports to a whole new league, and found solace and companionship in each other’s company during Covid shutdowns.
“We had a lot of our League of Legends players started teaming up and setting up games. So much so that last summer our university League of Legends team won a collegiate championship series,” says Jose Vasquez, the director of esports.
Among the best, they ARE the best.
UHD is the only university in the region with a state of the art online gaming facility.
This is serious stuff. In the survey by Solitaired, they found 44% of gamers sweat the action gets serious. 64% say they have “ragequit” a game.
