Walmart is fighting to keep up with Amazon, and Baytown figures into the picture.
The box store giant is putting in a one-million square foot warehouse at the Cedar Point Trade Center.
It’s still sorta hush-hush but it’s hard to hide something that big.
The completed warehouse will cost $22,000,000.00.
Construction will begin in earnest in the next few weeks with a completion date of early 2023.
The industrial park where the warehouse is being built is massive and also has an Ikea and Home Depot warehouse. Its proximity to the Port of Houston makes it ideal for a distribution crossroad.
