Former Texan Guilty of Fraud

Former Texans linebacker Shantee Orr will spend five years on probation after pleading guilty to taking part in a medical billing scam.

Orr is one of eight former NFL players who joined an athletic trainer in a scheme that bilked an NFL player trust fund out of 632-thousand-dollars through false claims for medical benefits.

The 40-year-old former Texan pleaded guilty on Wednesday to fraudulently obtaining a 129-thousand-dollar check.

Orr has repaid nearly 98-thousand-dollars in restitution. The rest is to be repaid by the trainer.

The Houston Texans wind up the regular season at noon today at NRG Stadium hosting Tennessee.
