A new study shows more of us are turning to social media to get, and talk, about the news.
More than 80% of us Tweeted about the news during the period Pew Research looked at. Media critic Jeff McCall at DePauw University has concerns.
"I'm not sure social media is a great place for people to be fully informed," McCall said.
McCall tells us the social media platforms have chosen sides, making it even more of a problem.
"I would feel better if they would butt out, rather than try to influence the news agenda, which they seem very intent on doing," McCall explained.
And what story are we Tweeting about? Well 17% of news Tweets were related to COVID.
