Double Jeapardy in Robbery

A Houston man is off to prison for 50-years for trying to rob an armored truck while on probation for bank robbery.

A Montgomery County jury sentenced 29-year-old Treveon Poole on Wednesday after convicting him of aggravated robbery.

Prosecutors say Poole and an accomplice tried to rob the armored truck in Willis in 2019.

The armed guard shot and killed Poole's accomplice, and Poole got away.

Poole was on probation at the time for a bank robbery he had committed in League City in 2017.
