Wreaths Across America Looking for Volunteer Motorcyclists

The 90,000 US Servicembers laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery will be remembered with holidays wreaths next Saturday, December 18, and motorcyclists are invited to volunteer to join the procession accompanying the wreaths as they make their way by the truckload. Its Wreaths Across America.

This is how we do the nationwide event in Houston.

Very early Saturday morning trucks loaded with wreaths line up and several hundred motorcycles form up to create a rolling tribute.

The staging area to meet up at 6am is 21770 Market Place Drive in New Caney in the Academy Parking Lot.

The ride takes 30-40 minutes.

If you want to attend and aren’t biking, your best option is the free bus shuttle service from Greenspoint Mall. The cemetery parking lot fills quickly so your best choice will be to go by bus and enjoy the company of like-minded military-loving patriots. Maybe you will want to lead them in song. Expect to meet about 17,000 new friends. Shuttle bus service starts at 7:30 and the ceremony starts at 11.

You can take a chair with you. The kids are more than welcome to attend.
