Tesla is moving its headquarters to Texas. CEO Elon Musk said their ability to grow in California was stunted.
"It's hard for people to afford houses, and a lot of people have to come in from far away, and so we'll take it as far as possible but it's limited to how big you can scale it in the Bay Area," Musk says.
Musk emphasized they will still maintain a presence in Palo Alto, California.
He said it would take some time to move to Austin, Texas.
That's where Tesla is building a new production line that will pump out their version of a truck.
