Southwest Airlines is Hiring

Southwest Airlines is planning to hire eight-thousand new workers next year.

Incoming CEO Robert Jordan told the Skift Global Forum in New York today the hires will mostly be on the frontlines.

He also noted the Dallas-based low fare air carrier is finding it hard to attract applicants, a problem Southwest has never had before.

Southwest cut eleven-percent of its workforce during the COVID pandemic.
