2021 Houston Open Tees Off in November!

The 2021 Houston Open will be played this November with the Astros Golf Foundation leading the way. Thanks to the foundation and their hard work continuously improving all of Memorial Park, the open is back there for the second year. Foundation President Giles Kibbe is happy about the pro golfers on the slate. " We're going to have a great field. Today we're honoring our past winner Carlos Ortiz who will be playing this year. We also have several of the top 25 players in the world who have already committed and we'll be rolling those names out in the next few weeks."

Top golfers will compete for a total purse over $7 million dollars. Kibbe says, "We have the largest purse of any PGA fall event. We obviously have a great city for them to visit. The players recognize the work that has been done here. The way the PGA scoring system works now, the fall events have a lot more importance than they have had in the past.

Kibbe is also announcing there will be a concert series as well this year. "With all the synergies with the Houston Astros and Minute Maid Ball Park we see this as a great opportunity to have some big names come in. Jake Owen will perform on Friday, November 12 and Kygo will be here Saturday, November 13.
