One of the biggest car shows/car auctions concludes today at NRG Park.
It's far more than a car show or an auto auction. It's an event. It's the last day of the Arizona auction house Barrett-Jackson's first show in Texas.
Hundreds of rare cars on display, among the early no reserve consignment cars on the block are a 2019 Ford GT with under 19 original miles, decked out in Liquid Blue paint and accented by the optional Frozen White overtop painted stripes, and a 1979 Porsche 928 you may have seen before...it's the car Tom Cruise drove learning a stick shift in the 1983 film “Risky Business.”
You also have the opportunity to ride with a professional driver on the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track. Chevrolet and Ford provide hot laps in their C8 Corvette and Mustang Mach 1, respectively. Toyota and Dodge are also on site with Thrill Rides in a drifting exhibition featuring the Toyota Supra, as well as Dodge Charger and Challenger.
8 am to 7 pm today.
Consignments are open and those interested may consign their collector vehicle here. Those interested in registering to bid for the Inaugural Houston Auction may do so here.
