We have some college football returning to Texas today, the Aggies hosting Kent State today with a smiling Jimbo Fisher at the helm. The Board of Regents voted last week to offer a pretty sizable contract extension through the 2031 season. Jimbo will get $9 million a year starting January 1, and then $9.15 million January 1 of 2023, and then $100,000 for each year after that. The team is 26 and 10 under Fisher.
We've also got some Longhorn action on tap hosting the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns at 3:30.
The University of Houston hosts Texas Tech at 6.
Baylor is hosting Texas State at 6.
Rice will kick off Saturday football's return in Arkansas at 1.
