For the sake of your sanity, avoid the Southwest Freeway at the 610 West Loop junction.
That's the general Galleria area, and the site of a lot of construction and road closures.
This weekend all the main lanes of the Southwest Freeway are closed in both directions and that means all that traffic is moving slowly on all the side streets like Westheimer and Richmond.
Expect the whole area to be a slow go.
