Mike Pence Defends Record, Conservative Values During Speech in Houston

Former Vice President Mike Pence defending the Trump administration's record during a visit to Houston.

“The Trump-Pence administration achieved the lowest unemployment, the highest household income, the most energy production, the most pro-American trade deals, the most secure border,” Pence said.

Pence getting lots of applause Wednesday night from hundreds of college students at the Young America’s Foundation annual conference, which promotes Conservative values. He took aim at the Biden administration.

“After six months of open borders, higher taxes, runaway spending, abortion on demand, defunding the police, censoring free speech, enough is enough,” he explained.

Pence’s speech comes after former President Donald Trump appeared to criticize his VP during a Turning Point Action rally in Arizona.

“I only wish my friend, Mike Pence, had that additional courage to send the results back to the legislatures, because it all happened so quickly,” Trump said on July 24th.

During his time in Houston, Pence did not respond to Trump's reference to the January 6th certification of the 2020 presidential election results. Instead, he thanked Trump, saying that serving as Vice President was the greatest honor of his life. Pence compared Donald Trump to Ronald Reagan: an outsider within his own party, who wasn't expected to win.
