Governor Greg Abbott accuses the Biden administration of not understanding what's going on at the Mexican border, issuing an executive order on Wednesday that limits the ground transportation of illegal immigrants detained by the Border Patrol.
Thursday US Attorney General Merrick Garland sent Abbott a letter asking him to rescind the order or face possible legal action.
Abbott says coronavirus is spreading along the border because of the White House's failed policies.
Abbott's order limits the ground transportation of illegal immigrants detained by the Border Patrol. Only local, state, and federal law enforcement vehicles can transport suspected illegals.
