Simone Manuel, who graduated from Fort Bend Austin High School and lives in Sugar Land, making Texas proud today. She won bronze while anchoring the 4X100 freestyle relay.
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she won two gold and two silver medals.
While at Stanford, she was a six-time individual NCAA Division/ Women's Swimming and Diving Championships champion.
Houston Star Simone Biles may have given what she thought was a mediocre qualifying effort --- she left the arena after seeing her score on her last event without speaking to the media --- but she did qualify to get a shot at six gold medals. Go forth, Simone, and Get Gold!
