Comicpalooza Comes to Houston this Weekend

After a year off during Covid, the biggest pop-culture event ever is coming to Houston this weekend.

Comicpalooza 2021 is probably going to feel the added thrill of pent-up desires as fans don their cosplay attire, spend phenomenal amounts of money on tickets and souvenirs, and revel in the joy of entertainment passions.

Organizers have amassed an astounding gathering of celebrities, including Carl Weathers, Christopher Sabat, Danny Trejo, David Ramsey, Dominic Purcell, Gavin Leatherwood, Giancarlo Esposito, John Swasey, Katee Sackhoff, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Martin Kove, Michael Rosenbaum, Ming-Na Wen, Ron Perlman, Sean Schemmel, and Tati Gabrielle, and as well as professional wrestlers Britt Baker and Christian Cage, and comic book creators Ariel Diaz, Donny Cates, Matt Hawkins, and Ryan Stegman.

The exhibit floors will be packed with goodies, row after row.

The Comicpalooza Cosplay Contest invites cosplayer participants to display their unique, hand-crafted costumes and props of their favorite characters on Saturday, July 17.

Young aspiring cosplayers showcase their skills in the Kid’s Cosplay Contest on Sunday, July 18. 

The hours at the George R. Brown are from 10a to 8p Saturday and 10a to 5p Sunday.
