The ongoing roadwork project at the Southwest Freeway and the West Loop has entered a whole new and inconvenient phase that is going to be around for the rest of this year.
The exit ramp from the Southwest inbound to the West Loop northbound closed for demolition Thursday night.
The outbound exit ramp to 610 northbound will close Monday at 9 p.m. Both ramps will be demolished and replaced.
All lanes of the Loop in both directions at the Southwest Freeway will be closed at some point so the inbound ramp can be completed.
That date hasn't been marked.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2024.
