Paxton Trial Heads Back to Collin County

The fraud case against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton may be on its way back to Collin County.

A Houston court panel transferred the case to Collin County, and special prosecutors are expected to appeal to the full court.

The Collin County grand jury indicted Paxton in 2015 for securities fraud.

Prosecutors say Paxton did not tell investors in a North Texas technology company he was being paid by the CEO.

Paxton paid a thousand-dollar state fine for not registering as an investment adviser in 2014, calling it an oversight.

The case was moved to Houston in 2017 and has been in legal limbo ever since.
