Crenshaw Optimistic in Post-Surgery Update

Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw says he hopes his vision will be back to normal in the next few months.

He offered an update on social media this week, saying his left eye is still pretty red, but the retina is staying in place.

Crenshaw had emergency surgery earlier this month for a detached retina in his left eye, which was damaged in a 2012 IED explosion in Afghanistan.

Crenshaw lost all vision in lost his right eye in the blast. He says he's been participating in House Committee hearings and listening to plenty of audio books.
