Free Pet Vaccines and Microchipping in Spring May 12

May is “Chip Your Pet” Month.

Residents of unincorporated Harris County can take your cat or dog to get a free vaccine and microchip May 12 if you’re among the first 100 to show up beginning at 9 in the morning at Spring Fire Department’s Station 74 on 23803 Aldine Westfield in Spring.

The event is hosted by Harris County Pets and the Spring Fire Department.

Vaccinations, including rabies, are available on a first come, first served basis.

A photo ID is required of humans to show proof of residence in unincorporated Harris County. There is no limit on the number of animals you can bring, but they must be on a leash or confined in a crate or carrier to receive services.

If you’re not available for this event but want to get your pet vaccinated or microchipped, you can do that at low cost at the Harris County Pets Clinic at 612 Canino Road in Houston, and can make an appointment at 281-999-3191.
