Gator Living Near Elementary School Has to Move

A 12-foot alligator is about to be relocated from a creek near an elementary school in Clear Lake.

The huge reptile turned up on the bank of the creek near North Pointe Elementary School on Almond Creek Drive.

Officials say the gator is dangerous to children who walk home from school near the creek because it's not afraid of people.

Officials with Parks and Wildlife say they plan to release the gator into a preserve in Brazoria County.
