It's been over 3 weeks since President Biden put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of the border, saying quote "I can think of nobody better qualified to do this."
Since then, Harris has yet to hold a news conference, which is truly unbelievable in 2021. Seriously. And even worse, she has done absolutely nothing to try and help the crisis.
Can you imagine if Donald Trump was still in office?
There has been speculation since last November that Biden would not be the President long term. Or more specifically, full term.
The Democrats did a masterful job of keeping him away from the media during the campaign. A trend that has continued with Biden setting a new record with the longest wait before holding his 1st press conference.
The rumor from both sides has been that Biden would stay in office for a year or so, and then Harris would replace him. And so as a result, Biden did this move on purpose, to set Harris up to fail.
Again, these are rumors. Chris Begala, the well respected media and political analyst here in Houston told KTRH, "As far as any conspiracy theory, I don't believe that at all. I just think Biden misspoke when he actually thought the Vice President would do something."
Begala says he is more concerned with what Harris hasn't done, and what Biden can't do! "I'm looking at this person who is the President of the United States of America, who clearly cannot function cognitively."
And as for the idea of Harris being set up to fail? Begala believes that's not necessary. "It's been over 3 weeks and she has done absolutely nothing, except when asked, she cackled."
Most importantly, Begala like all of us, hopes that something will be done soon, with the border crisis completely out of control.
