Texas has Lost another Legend

Legendary Texas philosopher, wit, columnist, author and lover of All Things Texas, Leon Hale has passed away at 99. Hale is survived by his wife, Babette Fraser Hale; two children; three grandchildren; a stepson; and two step-grandchildren.

Leon Hale wrote columns for both the Houston Post and the Houston Chronicle over a 65 year span. Recently he published a new book, (at age 99), “See You on Down the Road: A Retirement Journal.” Truly - a life well lived.
