The Big Freeze Did $600M Damage To Texas Farming

Agricultural experts say Texas suffered more than 600-million-dollars in agricultural losses in last month's winter storm. They told a Texas House committee on Thursday some segments of the state agricultural industry may not fully recover for five-years.

Cattle died when icy conditions froze stock tanks and delayed feed transport. Dairy producers had to dump out 20-million-dollars' worth of milk.

Greenhouses collapsed, and the citrus crop in the Rio Grande Valley was almost completely destroyed.
