Democrats have all the power now, but will they keep it?

Democrats have the White House, Senate and House. They have all the power. That's not unusual. The good news is that history says they won't keep it.

In fact, of the last 21 presidencies, sixteen of them started with one party in control of everything. But SMU's Cal Jillson says it usually doesn't stay like that.

"It's not uncommon for them to lose control at some place during their term," Jillson stated.

And if Biden keeps issuing orders and gets his $1.9 Trillion COVID relief paackage, voters will remember next year.

"There will be a backlash to a big program like that, just like there was to Obamacare," Jillson explained.

In fact Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton all lost one chamber of Congress in their first midterm.
