The Houston Astros and All Star Super Shortstop Carlos Correa are officially avoiding arbitration.
The ball club and the player are agreeing to a one-year deal worth $11.7 million. Says Correa, "I'm happy that we were able to come to an agreement and avoid arbitration,. Arbitration is not a good process."
Correa is 26 years old. He hit .264 with 5 home runs during the last season - which was a whopping 58 games.
Correa led all Major League shortstops with a .995 Fielding Percentage. He made just one error during the entire season. .
