Houston Bar Owner Owes Two Men Millions

The owner of the Houston Bar, Concrete Cowboy, Daniel J. Wierck, now owes millions to the son and godson of former baseball pitcher Roger Clemens (played 3 seasons with the Astros). Both young men, Kacy Clemens and Conner Capel were minor league baseball players at the time this altercation occurred, January, 2019. They were put into choke holds and beaten by bar staff. Capel suffered a skull fracture and Clemens injured his right elbow. the attorney for the club told jurors the two were part of the group involved in the initial commotion. He said Concrete Cowboy should not be held responsible for their injuries.

Yesterday (2-5-2021) a Harris County Jury found that Clemens and Capel were deserving of $3,240,000 in damages for the assault.
