The Texas Department of Transportation plans to close I-10 in both directions on the north side of downtown Houston for weekend roadwork.
The main lanes will be closed between the North Freeway and the Eastex Freeway as crews work on the Elysian Viaduct Bridge, just north of downtown.
The closure runs through 5 a.m. Monday. Try to avoid the area, but if you find yourself passing through, the detours around downtown will be via the North and Eastex Freeways.
