Houston Pastor Sentenced For Fraud, Gets Six Years

A Houston megachurch pastor is on his way to prison for six-years for wire fraud and defrauding investors.

A federal judge in Shreveport, Louisiana, sentenced Kirbyjon Caldwell last Wednesday.

All of this was anticipated. Caldwell, pastor of the Windsor Village United Methodist Church, was indicted two-years ago. He and his investment advisor were accused of selling more than three-million-dollars in worthless Chinese bonds to investors. Caldwell pleaded guilty last year and has since paid back nearly all the money.

He was a spiritual adviser to Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
