It's National Bloody Mary Day! What a surprise that it comes the morning after the night before which is New Year's Eve!
It does make it convenient for partiers who may have partied too much last night and into this morning. It's a rather famous cocktail. It usually contains vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice and Worcestershire, but most professional and home bar tenders add their own touches and embellishments to the celery stick garnish! It is said to help relieve hangover symptoms. Maybe --- but always remember that alcohol can further dehydrate a you and possibly add to that 'morning after' headache.!
In Texas, we often serve a Bloody Maria. Same recipe - but we make it with Tequila and not Vodka.
