Thirteen current and former University of Texas students are in police custody for their alleged involvement in a massive drug trafficking operation. The operation reportedly led by 23-year-old Varun Prasad included the sale of LSD and shrooms as well as meth and fentanyl disguised as Xanax or Adderall, amounting to more than one-million-dollars. Prasad is accused of laundering his drug money with help from a 68-year-old real estate investor and using the funds to buy stash houses, safe houses and grow operations. A search warrant led to the discovery of drugs, more than 100-thousand-dollars in cash, guns and bulletproof vests. Prasad is set to be arraigned December 8th.
