Covid-19: Lockdown Part 2

The election is finally over (except for the results), but the claims that Covid-19 is "out of control" have returned. It's the top story for the mainstream media, which is already pushing and prepping for another 4-6 week lockdown, with Mayor Turner & Judge Hidalgo ready to comply. So just how devastating would that be here in Houston? Especially for the businesses that are already struggling? And what is the trickle down effect for the rest of us? Nobody knows for sure. When contacted by KTRH, the Houston branch of the BBB said it did not have the numbers or data. Professor Hank Lewis from Lone Star College who told KTRH "many businesses adapted during the first set of restrictions, some not so much." And taking it one step further, Lewis adds "one person's spending is another person's pay-check. Total spending is the major life blood of our economy." Aside from any assistance from the government, Lewis says all we can do is try to help and support small businesses as much as possible, and that hopefully the vaccine will be here soon.
