No Parole for Former Houston Gang Member

Back on June 24, 1993, 14 year old Venancio Medellin was part of a group of gang members that ambushed two teenage girls, Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Pena, who were walking near T C Jester in The Heights area of Houston. The gang members raped and brutally killed both of the teen aged girls. Medellin, although 14 at the time, he was convicted and sentenced to 40 years in prison. He has served 27 years of his 40-year sentence according to the Harris County District Attorney's Office. That office just denied Medellin parole,

In 1993 he was spared from a death sentence because of his age at the time.
