One highlight for President Trump during the 2020 Election was his ability to garner more support for Republicans among ethnic minorities.
Trump saw a 3% increase in votes from African-Americans, Hispanics, and Asian-Americas compared to 2016. Supporters say the president won more minorities over by being upfront about his policies and values.
“Strong spirituality, strong Christian faith, economic development, and prosperity, job creation, and Criminal Justice reform. Allowing black men to have a second chance in America,” Dr. Richard Johnson, with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, told KTRH.
Johnson says the GOP can keep those voters in the future, if they're as vigorous and aggressive at going after minority communities as President Trump has been.
