City of Houston Settles Two Sex Discrimination Suits

A federal sex discrimination lawsuit filed against the city of Houston by a pair of female firefighters is now settled.

Jane Draycott and Paula Keyes filed suit in 2009 over working conditions they claim to have faced at the Houston Fire Department's Station 54.

The Houston City Council approved Draycott's settlement on Wednesday for 275-thousand-dollars.

Keyes and the city settled in April for 67-thousand-500-dollars.
