Dallas County Faces Flu Vaccine Shortage

Dallas County is facing a flu vaccine shortage.

Dr. Phillip Huang, the director of the county health department, told county commissioners this week that the county has nearly depleted its supply of flu vaccines.

Since flu vaccines are offered free of charge through the health department, Huang recommends for those who have insurance to get a flu shot at a retailer due to the shortage.

Another shipment of vaccines is expected later this month.
