A stretch of the Beltway 8 toll road is to be renamed in honor of Deputy Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, who was killed last year in the line of duty.
The Harris County Toll Road Authority has agreed to the name change for a part of the Beltway near Highway 249 in northwest Harris County.
The official renaming ceremony will be held next Tuesday at the Gurdwara Sikh National Center on the North Belt at Fairbanks North Houston Road.
