Following last Thursday's proclamation, a federal lawsuit is being filed over Texas Governor Greg Abbott's order requiring one mail-in ballot drop-off location per county.
The League of Women Voters of Texas along with the Texas and National Leagues of United Latin American Citizens filed the suit late last night hours after Abbott's order.
The suit says Abbott is targeting the most vulnerable voters and those hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
Harris and Travis counties set up multiple drop-off locations in the Houston and Austin areas but Abbott says one location will increase election security.
