Texas Senator John Cornyn is among a bipartisan group of his colleagues calling for a Senate hearing that focuses on Fort Hood.
The Republican Cornyn along with Democrat Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey want the hearing to examine the culture at the Texas base. The command climate would also be reviewed following the deaths of Sergeant Elder Fernandes and Specialist Vanessa Guillen. Cornyn, Markey, and Warren are asking that the Senate Armed Services Committee hold the hearing.
