Golf is Back!

The Game of Golf had a rough time during March and April. American golf courses lost millions of rounds in March and April as courses were forced to shut down. Tee Times are available once more and Doug Pike of Sports Talk 790's Doug Pike Show says golfers couldn't wait. "From the minute Tee Times were made available --- every Tee Time was taken! Golfers were almost desperate to get back on the courses!" Now courses are opening up and Pike says courses are staying safe. "They are spraying their carts. They are wiping down everything. In short - they are making sure their golfers are having a good, safe experience." The pro shop is getting business, too. "You can't play golf without clubs, balls or shoes! And what better excuse for every golfer to get something new than Covid-19 shut down!" Pike says most in-use golf carts on courses have only one passenger and the staffs are keeping all equipment sanitized.

The golf industry's long term prospects of regaining their earlier losses this year are good.
