Sunday August 2 NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley will splashdown on the Space X Dragon Endeavor, and Space Center Houston will host a watch party of the live stream starting at 10am. It’s a chance for Houston space enthusiasts to celebrate the return of human space travel programs launching from US soil.
Behnken and Hurley took off for the International Space Station in May and this will complete Space X’s test of their human flight system, including the successful launch, a riveting docking maneuver, and now splashdown and recovery operations.
Space Center Houston includes a number of historic artifacts and shows, including a new “Apollo 13: Failure is Not an Option,” exhibit. A ticket purchase is required.
