Trump in Texas today for oil rig visit, fundraising

President Trump visits Texas today for fundraising, and a shift in focus to oil and gas.

The U.S. has become the top oil producer in the world since the President got rid of regulations from the Obama era. Phil Barnett with Barnett Energy says the President has set the country up for long term dominance.

"If unencumbered by government regulation, we will be the number one producer for the foreseeable future. I am talking for a hundred years or more," Barnett said.

The energy industry took a hit thanks to COVID-19, but Barnett says the mainstream media never gave you the whole story, and they haven't talked about the opportunities that now exist.

"From an investor standpoint it's the best time to get involved in the industry if you know what you are doing and who you are dealing with," Barnett explained.

The President will be making his first visit to a rig - Double Eagle Energy in Midland.
