Tomball ISD Offering Parents Choices and Deadlines

The hospitalization rate for coronavirus is up 25% from a week ago, the state setting a record for the number of new cases reported yesterday, adding another 10,251.

All of which complicates decisions school districts and parents face with school set to resume next month.

Tomball ISD is asking parents to decide if they want their child to attend class virtually or in the classroom by July 24. The school district will be sending out an e-mail form tomorrow. Classes are set to start August 17.

A report from the Centers for Disease Control, CDC, has been leaked and found to have contained a warning that opening schools for grades K through 12 would be the "highest risk" for spread of coronavirus.
