Sen. Cruz Taking on Google

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz is confronting Google over the Internet giant's moves to exclude conservative media organizations.

The Texas Republican sent a letter to Google on Wednesday after the company banned one conservative site from its advertising platform and issued a warning to another.

Cruz has been threatening to regulate social media for at least a year over reported censorship of conservative speech.

Cruz accused Google of "helping lead the charge" in an attack on the country's tradition of free speech.
